Local projects

Local projects have been central to RAKE’s work since the creation of the centre and have developed into our biggest strand of work. The first projects were born out of the need to offer science-based analysis and impact studies for Estonian government institutions, local governments and intra-university structures at a time when policy design lacked systemic data-based support.

Today, clear work formats have emerged: impact studies, applied studies, big data analysis, questionnaire and interview studies, and strategy and program evaluation. Our main partners are Estonian ministries, government institutions, local governments, foundations, academic organisations, companies, and civil society organisations.

Local projects hold strategic importance for CASS: they keep us tightly connected to Estonian societal needs and enable us to bring the experience gained from international studies back into local development.
