Domestic child abuse study

The study analyzes how judges and child protection workers identify possible child abuse in disputes over custody and access rights, and how they take its impact into account when safeguarding the child’s best interests. It also assesses to what extent children’s rights are ensured in the proceedings and in the work of representatives, and to what extent the principles of child-friendly proceedings are followed. In addition, international approaches and good practices are mapped that could support the development of the Estonian system.
