International projects have been an important part of CASS’ work ever since the centre expanded from project management to a competence centre for applied research and joined European research and analytic networks. Through the years, we’ve worked through EU framework programs, international evaluation projects and as partners in inter-European comparative studies – all of which has provided us with experience in project with complicated work packages, multi-nation consortia, and strict reporting regulations.
Our role in these projects varies greatly: from developing methods and research plans, large-scale data analysis and policy recommendations, to providing specific (e.g. dissemination) expertise, to compiling training materials and other practical outputs. International projects help us bring global knowledge space into Estonia, whilst RAKE contributes its expertise towards supporting European research and policy design.
